The Fly Fisher's Companion
Set design, build and paint for the opening play of the 70th season at The Curtain Club in Richmond Hill
I was asked to design the set for the opening play of the 2023-24 season at the Curtain Club theatre in Richmond Hill. As the theatre was celebrating its 70th season, it was an honour to be working on this show.
The play The Fly Fisher’s Companion is set in a fishing cabin near the Margaree river in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Inspiration came with the help of Craig Applegath, an architect and keen fly fisherman and some elements of the design were based on Craig’s work on SeaSky Cottages in Cape Breton.
